David has built offensive security programs at places like 1Password and Red Canary. Now a technical advocate and AI researcher at Sumo Logic, David’s current work focuses on agentic AI, MCP and how traditional security models break when software makes its own decisions. He pretends to be a podcast host on Masters of Data and an author of multiple white papers and blogs that no one reads. In his spare time he is surfing, foiling, doing BJJ and hiding from his four kids.
