XRP Ledger updates delayed following validator support fluctuation

In a report by Coin Central, the XRP Ledger has rescheduled the activation of its Cleanup3_4_0 bug fix to Nov. 4 after validator support temporarily dipped below the required threshold.

The amendment requires backing from more than 80% of 35 trusted validators, meaning at least 29 must maintain their vote for 14 consecutive days. On Oct. 21, support fell to 26 validators, effectively resetting the mandatory approval clock. Support has since recovered to 31 validators, placing the network on track for a Nov. 4 activation. The update is designed to resolve technical issues regarding token handling, asset vault accounting and lending code. While the fix addresses specific bugs, it does not activate the broader lending protocol, which requires separate validator approval. Developers noted that the dip in support may have been caused by server restarts or offline status rather than deliberate withdrawal. The XRP Ledger continues to support other services, including recent integrations for RLUSD custody. Industry observers note that while the cleanup amendment is a necessary technical maintenance step, the highly anticipated lending and vault features remain inactive until further consensus is reached by the network validators.
