Windows 10 now on more than 70 million devices

Windows 10 is now operating on 75 million devices in 192 countries, nearly a month after its release.

Vice President of Marketing for Windows and Devices, Yusuf Mehdi, tweeted updates on the new OS and its current status. Of the million of devices equipped with the new system, for example, more than 90,000 unique PC or tablet models have upgraded, and of those, some date back to 2007, Mehdi said.

People have streamed more than 122 years' worth of gameplay from Xbox One to Windows 10 devices, too. The Windows Store for Windows 10 documented six times more app downloads per device than Window 8, Mehdi wrote.

Although there seems to be support for upgrades to Windows 10, other users aren't exactly convinced of its merits. The OS came under fire from privacy advocates after it was found collecting users' data and sending it back to Microsoft.
