Windows 10 KB5087544 update fixes Remote Desktop warnings and Secure Boot reporting

The KB5087544 update for Windows 10, available for Enterprise LTSC and ESU program participants, primarily delivers security fixes and bug resolutions, addressing 120 vulnerabilities patched in May 2026. A key fix resolves an issue where Remote Desktop Connection security warnings were incorrectly displayed in multi-monitor setups with varying display scaling. The update also enhances Secure Boot by enabling dynamic status reporting within the Windows Security App and includes a Daylight Saving Time adjustment for Egypt.

Microsoft has noted a known issue where some systems might prompt for a BitLocker recovery key after installation, particularly those with specific Group Policy configurations involving PCR7 and Secure Boot. A temporary workaround involves adjusting the Group Policy and then suspending and resuming BitLocker. This update does not introduce new features, as Microsoft has concluded feature development for Windows 10.
