Vincenzo Iozzo removed from Black Hat and Code Blue review boards amid Epstein document release

According to TechCrunch, Vincenzo Iozzo, a cybersecurity professional and founder of SlashID, has been removed from the review boards of major cybersecurity conferences Black Hat and Code Blue. This action follows the recent release of documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, which include emails and an FBI informant's report mentioning Iozzo.

Iozzo, who had been a member of the Black Hat review board since 2011, was no longer listed on the websites of either conference as of Thursday. While Iozzo stated he did not resign willingly and welcomed an investigation, spokespeople for Black Hat did not comment. Code Blue confirmed Iozzo's removal, attributing it to a planned update to remove inactive members, though the timing coincided with the Epstein document release. The newly released Justice Department documents contain over 2,300 mentions of Iozzo and include emails detailing his interactions with Epstein between 2014 and 2018. An FBI informant's report also suggested Epstein had a "personal hacker," with details in the redacted document strongly pointing to Iozzo, TechCrunch reports.

While Iozzo denies any illegal activity and states his interactions with Epstein were limited to business discussions, the association has led to his distancing from key industry events.
