Ukraine bolsters cyber partnership with Poland to combat Russian attacks

Increasingly prevalent Russian cyberattacks since its invasion of Ukraine have prompted Ukraine and Poland to bolster joint efforts in combating cybercrime, according to The Record, a news site by cybersecurity firm Recorded Future. Aside from jointly participating in cybersecurity conferences and partnering to fight Russian disinformation, Ukraine and Poland have also permitted digital document sharing in their e-government apps. "With Poland, we have not only a common physical border but also a joint problem in cyberspace, where we experience the same kind of attacks. I am sure that together we will become stronger and more effective," said Ukraines Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov. The partnership with Poland comes after Ukraine entered a deal with the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and Slovenia last month in an effort to better counter cyber threats from Russia. Such deals have been crucial as pro-Russian hacking operation Killnet began attacking countries allied with Ukraine.
