Signicat, a Norway-based digital identity company, has announced a strategic partnership with U.S. business intelligence platform Markaaz, gaining access to a global database of over 542 million business records, Biometric Update reports.

The integration will incorporate Markaaz's verified entity profiles, ultimate beneficial ownership data, and firmographic insights directly into Signicat's Digital Identity and Orchestration Platform. According to the companies, this move will enhance automated Know Your Business verification, streamline compliance operations, and bolster anti-money laundering and fraud detection processes. Pinar Alpay, Signicat's Chief Product Officer, stated that the integration "extends our vision of complete, orchestrated identity and risk management," providing enterprises with a unified decision-making layer for both individual and business identities.

Markaaz, which covers more than 200 jurisdictions, views the partnership as a way to expand its global reach within supply chain ecosystems. Lansing Gatrell, Markaaz's Executive Vice President, noted the integration will "strengthen the full lifecycle of business decisioning for Signicat customers from onboarding through continuous monitoring."
