SandboxAQ launches AQtive Guard AI-SPM to address shadow AI risks

Cybersecurity firm SandboxAQ has launched a new artificial intelligence security posture management platform called AQtive Guard AI-SPM. This new offering aims to provide enterprises with visibility into their AI usage and identify potential security vulnerabilities, as reported by Silicon Angle.

The AQtive Guard AI-SPM platform is designed to discover, analyze and secure an organization's entire AI ecosystem, from models to data. It evaluates AI assets for weaknesses, insecure dependencies and exposure risks such as prompt injection and data leakage. Recent research by SandboxAQ indicates that while 79% of organizations use AI in production, a significant majority have not conducted thorough AI security assessments. The platform extends SandboxAQ's cryptographic scanning technology to AI systems, identifying hidden AI assets and assessing risks. Key features include asset discovery, risk assessment, policy enforcement and threat monitoring.

The rapid expansion of AI within enterprises creates a widening attack surface that traditional security tools struggle to manage. The launch of AQtive Guard AI-SPM addresses the growing concern over shadow AI and the potential for unmanaged AI systems to become sources of breaches.
