Quantickle simplifies cyber threat visualization

The RSAC Conference has released Quantickle, an open source, browser-based tool designed to help security analysts visually map threat intelligence relationships, SecurityWeek reports.

Developed by Senior Technical Director Snorre Fagerland, Quantickle enables researchers to create network graphs linking domains, IP addresses, malware samples, and threat actors to uncover patterns and attack paths. Users can manually input data, upload CSV files or integrate via REST APIs, then export visualizations in multiple formats, including PNG and PDF. The front end, built on Cytoscape.js, manages rendering and layout, while a lightweight Express server supports integrations and optional Neo4j storage.

Fagerland emphasized that Quantickle is not intended as an enterprise platform, noting that commercial vendors provide more robust automation and support. Instead, the tool focuses on curated, high-quality visual analysis for manual research and publication rather than large-scale data clustering. He also advised running the software locally, cautioning that remote deployment is discouraged because it has not undergone formal security testing.
