Cybernews reports that multinational digital gaming, sports betting, and fintech provider for casinos International Game Technology had 10 GB of data allegedly stolen by the Russia-linked Qilin ransomware operation.

More than 21,000 files are part of the data trove pilfered from IGT, according to Qilin, which provided an FTP link where the exfiltrated cache could be downloaded but no data samples even as it marked the information to have been published.

Over 500 attacks have already been conducted by Qilin during the past six months, making it the most prolific ransomware gang this year, with major U.S. recruitment firm Cornerstone Staffing Solutions, Canadian electrical services firm Spark Power, and Switzerland-based international bank Habib Bank AG Zurich among the ransomware gang's most recent victims.

Qilin, which was also recently reported to have collaborated with the DragonForce and LockBit ransomware-as-a-service operations, has primarily targeted organizations in the U.S., France, and Canada, a Comparitech report showed.
