President Barack Obama appointed former White House national security adviser Tom Donilon and former IBM chief executive officer Sam Palmisano to serve as chairman and vice-chairman, respectively, of the Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity.The White House tasked the commission to produce a report no later than Dec. 1, 2016, that will advise both current and future administrations on how to deal with cybersecurity issues, the White House said Wednesday.Earlier this month, President Obama issued an executive order establishing the bipartisan commission to bolster the nation's cybersecurity in both the public and private sectors over the next decade. The group will include industry professionals from outside the government, the White House said.The executive order was penned alongside Obama's bold new Cybersecurity National Action Plan (CNAP) which included a $19 billion budget allotment in fiscal 2017.
