Oak9, a company that provides infrastructure-as-code security solutions, is counting on the growing popularity of multicloud and multi-IaC environments among enterprises to boost the use of its product, which allows clients to simultaneously manage security across multiple tools, according to VentureBeat.
Oak9s security platform uses a proprietary Security as Code, which enables detection and assessment of changes to cloud-native infrastructure. The platform identifies potential security vulnerabilities in users clouds, as well as their threat level and suggested fixes, which users can apply across their cloud architecture.
Raj Datta, cofounder and CEO of Oak9, says their tool addresses the lack of qualified software infrastructure engineers with IaC expertise among enterprises, ensuring security for cloud-native applicationsthat are short on manpower. Oak9 users have reported saving up to 70% in time spent on security reviews and over 100 hours of devops work, according to Om Vyas, Oak9s co-founder and chief product officer.
Oak9 recently obtained $8 million through a financing round, which raised its total funding over the last 15 months to $14 million.
