New York Jets linebacker Jermaine Cunningham has been arrested and charged with violating New Jersey's revenge porn law as well as with other counts after sending images that are “sexual in nature to another person without the consent of the person in the images,” according to Union County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Mark Spivey, Deadspin.com reported.
Cunningham, who signed with the Jets in November 2013, was arrested after police in Summit, N.J., responded to a domestic dispute at the football player's home.
He faces one count each of third-degree privacy violation and criminal mischief, the latter being for destroying clothing of a woman he used to date. He also received a fourth degree unlawful weapon transfer charge after officers found a loaded handgun in the glove compartment of his Audi.
New Jersey is one of 16 states with revenge porn laws.
