Nicholas Moore has been sentenced to one year of probation for hacking into the U.S. Supreme Court’s electronic document filing system multiple times over several months. Moore also targeted the networks of AmeriCorps and the Department of Veterans Affairs, according to TechCrunch.Moore gained unauthorized access to these government systems by using stolen credentials. He reportedly bragged about his actions on an Instagram account named @ihackedthegovernment, where he also posted personal information of individuals he had compromised.The U.S. Supreme Court’s filing system, AmeriCorps, and the Department of Veterans Affairs were all accessed using credentials obtained from one of his victims.
