Keyfactor Inc. and IBM Consulting have announced a new joint solution aimed at enhancing enterprise visibility into cryptographic assets and accelerating readiness for post-quantum cryptography. This collaboration seeks to address the significant vulnerabilities and lack of understanding surrounding cryptographic dependencies in modern enterprises, as reported by Silicon Angle.

The solution integrates Keyfactor's capabilities in cryptographic discovery, PKI, digital signing, and certificate lifecycle automation with IBM Consulting's cybersecurity expertise, governance frameworks, and quantum-safe delivery methods. It addresses the fragmented ownership and inconsistent controls over certificates, keys, and algorithms that lead to a lack of visibility and increase risks of outages and audit gaps.

The offering provides end-to-end cryptographic discovery, risk scoring, and automated lifecycle management to transition from a reactive approach to a governed, automated, and quantum-safe foundation. Key features include automated discovery across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, prioritized remediation plans, and policy-driven processes to reduce operational friction and outage risks. This partnership aims to provide organizations with a structured, phased approach to cryptographic modernization, aligning with global PQC guidance from NIST and the EU.
