HID, others gain iBeta PAD compliance confirmations

Several biometric firms have recently secured new presentation attack detection compliance confirmations under the ISO/IEC 30107-3 standard, according to iBeta Quality Assurance, Biometric Update reports.

HID emerged as a key player, with its multi-spectral imaging cameras and U.ARE.U Face Module achieving Level 2 compliance after repelling 750 mid-level attack attempts without a single breach. The company noted that increasingly advanced spoofing attempts have made stricter testing essential, a view echoed by iBeta executives Ryan Borgstrom and David Yambay, who recently announced the rollout of Level 3 PAD evaluations. HID emphasized that its module balances strong fraud resistance with a seamless user experience, and has begun exploring practical use cases.

Beyond HID, iBeta confirmed Level 2 compliance for Private Identity, FPT IS, Chunghwa Telecom's HiFace, Identy, and TransUnion's TruValidate Anti-Deepfake Liveness. Meanwhile, Iris ID secured Level 1 approval for its iBar 600E scanner, underscoring the growing emphasis on liveness detection in biometric security.
