Head of Senate intelligence group accuses CIA of hacking committee’s computers

Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., accused the CIA of secretly spying, and tampering with data, on the committee's computers.

On Tuesday, Sen. Feinstein divulged the information during a speech on the Senate floor, where it was alleged that the CIA illegally accessed and removed Senate files to undermine a longstanding investigation.  

According to a Tuesday article in The Washington Post, Feinstein said the CIA's actions “violated the separation-of-powers principles embodied in the United States Constitution.”

The Senate Intelligence Committee was investigating the CIA's use of waterboarding and other controversial practices to extract information from terrorism suspects.

Soon after Feinstein's comments, CIA Director John Brennan denied the hacking allegations.
