GitGuardian SAS has raised $50 million in new funding to expand its platform for securing non-human identities and artificial intelligence agents. This funding comes as organizations face a significant increase in these identities, which are often unmanaged and pose security risks, Silicon Angle reports.

The company's platform detects, manages, and governs secrets and non-human identities within software development and production. It integrates into development workflows and code repositories, continuously scanning for exposed credentials like API keys and tokens. GitGuardian's capabilities include automated secret discovery, continuous monitoring, and remediation workflows. The platform also extends to governing non-human identities by tracking service accounts, applications, and AI agents, offering visibility into their lifecycles and usage. Over 115,000 developers use the platform, which serves Fortune 500 companies across various industries.
