FedRAMP grants top authorization to Zscaler Internet Access

Zscaler announced that its Zscaler Internet Access solution has received the Federal Risk and Authorization Management ProgramHigh Authority to Operate -- the highest authorization obtainable under the program, SDxCentral reports. The designation indicates that the product meets the highest security requirements imposed by government agencies. The company said ZIA is the sole secure access service edge trusted internet connections 3.0 solution in the market currently carrying this authorization. ZIA is part of the FedRAMP high-authorized Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange for federal government agencies together with Zscaler Private Access, which has also achieved the FedRAMP Joint Authorization BoardHigh Authorization. The process of obtaining JAB authorization took two years, according to Zscaler Chief Compliance Officer Stephen Kovac, who noted that there are 400 required controls for High Authorization. Every control is questioned and re-questioned.
