EC-Council launches Enterprise AI Credential Suite to address workforce gap

EC-Council has announced the launch of its Enterprise AI Credential Suite, introducing four new role-based artificial intelligence certifications and updating its Certified CISO v4 program. This initiative represents the largest expansion of EC-Council's portfolio in its 25-year history, aiming to bridge the gap between the rapid scaling of AI and the availability of a trained workforce capable of managing, securing, and governing these technologies, according to a recent report by Silicon Angle.

The Enterprise AI Credential Suite is structured around EC-Council's "Adopt. Defend. Govern." framework, designed to operationalize AI at scale with readiness and safeguards. The framework addresses threats such as prompt injection, data poisoning, and model exploitation, while embedding accountability and risk management. The four new certifications include Artificial Intelligence Essentials for baseline readiness, Certified AI Program Manager for structured AI delivery, Certified Responsible AI Governance & Ethics Professional for aligning with frameworks like NIST AI RMF, and Certified Offensive AI Security Professional for testing and defending AI systems. The updated Certified CISO v4 program now includes executive cyber leadership education for AI-driven risk environments.

The launch of these AI certifications aligns with U.S. government priorities on AI workforce development and education, as outlined in recent executive orders and the July 2025 AI Action Plan. By providing practical capabilities in AI adoption, security, and governance, EC-Council aims to enable organizations to scale AI confidently and with clear accountability. This move addresses the growing need for security leaders to manage increasingly complex, adaptive, and influential intelligent systems, strengthening governance and informed decision-making in AI-driven risk environments.
