Operations of leading UK automaker Jaguar Land Rover may remain disrupted until next month following an attack against its internal IT systems by the Scattered Lapsus$ Hunters threat group, reports The Guardian. The attack has already prompted JLR to tell thousands of production workers across its plants to stay at home until Tuesday. Similar advisories have been provided by JLR's suppliers WHS Plastics, Evtec, OPmobility, and SurTec. Despite ongoing challenges in obtaining spare parts following the intrusion, JLR's dealerships and garages have remained operational."We continue to work around the clock to restart our global applications in a controlled and safe manner following the recent cyber incident. We are working with third-party cybersecurity specialists and alongside law enforcement," said a JLR spokesperson.Such a development comes after major UK retailer Marks & Spencer had its online ordering system rendered inoperational for over a month following an attack conducted by the same hackers as JLR.
