Infosecurity Magazine reports that cybersecurity incidents, including ransomware intrusions and data breaches, have been experienced by 55% of U.S. and UK organizations during the past year, 57% and 19% of which disclosed completing endpoint remediation and recovery efforts within up to six days and up to two weeks, respectively.Total incident recovery costs averaged $2.5 million, with 98% of organizations spending $1 million to $5 million for every cyber incident, findings from an Absolute Security poll of 750 chief information security officers in the U.S. and the UK showed. However, only 68% of CISOs reported having organizational cyber resilience strategies, compared with 90% last year, while only 65% noted cyber resilience prioritization over traditional prevention, detection, and response measures, compared with 83% last year."As security and risk leaders, we need to expand our focus beyond just traditional security to also include being the driving force behind ensuring business operations run consistently and without disruption," said Absolute Security President and CEO Christy Wyatt.
