Palo Alto Networks and Cohesity have unveiled a partnership to merge their respective platforms, providing users with greater speed and agility to address ransomware or other cybersecurity threats, according to SDxCentral.
Through the partnership, Cohesity's Helios artificial intelligence-based data management platform and Palo Alto Networks' Cortex security orchestration, automation, and response system will combine, so that data anomalies indicating an impending attack are flagged by Helios, which produces an automatic alert, followed by Cortex activating to launch a preplanned triage and mitigation action. The companies said the integration will also help IT teams' ability to address all alerts speedily by reducing the number of false positives."
This integration of Cohesity Helios with Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSOAR helps our joint customers integrate and automate their ITOps and SecOps response to ransomware attacks to minimize impact and quickly recover core business systems," said Cohesity Director of Product Marketing and Data Security Robert Shields. "Coupled with our advanced capabilities in zero trust, anomaly detection, and instant recovery, customers can greatly reduce their ransomware risk."
