Silicon Angle reports that Claroty, a startup focused on securing industrial equipment from cyber threats, has successfully raised $150 million in a new funding round led by Golub Growth. This investment significantly boosts the company's valuation to $3 billion, reflecting strong investor confidence in its approach to operational technology security.

Claroty's platform addresses unique challenges in industrial cybersecurity, where traditional methods of querying systems are often not feasible due to network isolation or technical constraints. The company's Project File Analysis feature analyzes configuration backups from isolated systems, while its main platform mimics normal traffic patterns to collect telemetry without causing system bugs. This allows Claroty to create a comprehensive inventory of devices, including industrial hardware, endpoints, and medical equipment, identifying vulnerabilities like outdated firmware or insecure credentials. The software also detects malicious activity, such as malware or unauthorized external connections, consolidating alerts for faster remediation.
