Silicon Angle reports that Cisco Foundation AI has announced a suite of new agentic security tools designed to help enterprises secure increasingly autonomous and interconnected AI systems.

The new tools address the challenge of protecting AI-driven environments that span multiple platforms and data sources. Key releases include Foundation-sec-8B-Reasoning, an open-weight model optimized for cybersecurity analysis, providing explicit reasoning traces for transparency and trust. The Adaptive AI Search Framework is a reasoning-driven retrieval system that allows AI models to iteratively refine searches, similar to human experts, improving threat intelligence and incident response with incomplete data. Lastly, the PEAK Threat Hunting Assistant is an open-source agentic AI assistant that automates threat hunting preparation by using cooperating AI agents to research threats and generate customized hunt plans, while keeping humans in the loop for control.
