Bitwarden enhances security for individual and family plans with new features and pricing

Tech Radar reports that Bitwarden is rolling out significant upgrades to its Individual and Family plans, focusing on enhanced credential security and user education against modern threats.

The updates address critical security areas including password strength, secure storage, two-factor authentication (2FA), and phishing protection. Bitwarden will now provide alerts for reused, exposed, or weak passwords, and offer guidance for creating stronger ones. Attachment storage has been expanded to 5GB, and users can now store up to 10 different 2FA methods, including hardware keys and passkeys.

A new, undisclosed phishing blocker tool is also being introduced to proactively identify and block malicious websites. These enhancements come with a price adjustment: the Individual plan increases from $10 to $19.80 annually, and the Family plan from $40 to $47.88 annually.
