Artemis Security raises $70 million for AI-powered cybersecurity platform

Coverage from Silicon Angle indicates that Artemis Global Technologies Inc., a six-month-old cybersecurity startup, has successfully raised $70 million in funding. The capital was secured in two tranches, with Felicis leading the Series A round, joined by First Round Capital and Brightmind, who also participated in the company's seed raise. The company's investor base includes notable executives from major tech firms such as Microsoft Corp. and Okta Inc.

Artemis offers an artificial intelligence platform designed to help enterprises address cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Its solution is positioned as an alternative to traditional security information and event management (SIEM) platforms, which can incur significant data streaming costs. Artemis' platform utilizes a federated querying feature that analyzes cybersecurity telemetry directly where it is generated, eliminating the need to load data into a central system.

The AI platform scans cloud environments, employee endpoints, and other systems for threats by using AI-generated detectors that adapt to the evolving threat landscape. Upon detecting a breach, it provides a visual timeline of the attack, a natural language incident description, and remediation suggestions. The substantial funding injection will enable Artemis to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams.
