Apiiro announcing raising of $100M

SiliconANGLE reports that a Series B funding round has generated $100 million for Apiiro, an Israel-based application security startup that is working on software that ensures app developers are able to address all security issues before they release the code to the cloud. Called Code Risk Platform, the software plugs into an enterprises code management tools and builds an inventory of software development assets. Algorithms then work on detecting vulnerable application components, allowing companies to pass the information along to developers before it can be exploited by hackers. The Code Risk Platform also assesses changes that developers make on any part of an application and looks for vulnerabilities. The platform is able to detect weak encryption, vulnerable interface elements and regulatory issues. While we considered several options to expand our business, weve seen significant market demand for next-generation application security solutions, and our team is well-positioned to address this need at scale, the company said.
