Acre launches unified physical security workflow

Acre Security has released an integration linking its intrusion controllers with its access control platform to unify identity management, policy enforcement, and audit processes within a single workflow, Security Brief United Kingdom reports.

The integration connects the Acre Intrusion controller family, including EVO, Gen1, and AIC-1200 devices, with Acre Access Control, enabling organizations to manage user identities, permissions, and security policies through one system rather than separate databases. By tying door-access privileges to intrusion functions such as alarm arming rights, the platform aims to reduce operational risks during employee role changes or offboarding, when outdated credentials can leave residual access or alarm permissions behind.

Acre said the cloud-based architecture allows both systems to share a central data layer while edge devices translate different protocols used by field hardware. Unified monitoring also lets security teams correlate door activity with alarm events, improving incident verification and audit visibility. CEO Kumar Sokka said the goal is to provide "identity, policy, and audit that hold up during offboarding and incident response."

The company said the integration addresses rising security expectations, particularly among critical infrastructure and data center operators.
