112K French policemen doxxed on Google Drive

A disgruntled ex-employee of an insurance firm uploaded the personal details of 112,000 French police officers to a Google Drive account on June 2 possibly exposing the officer's personal information, including addresses.

On June 13 a French police commander and his partner were murdered at his home by an alleged Islamic jihadist.

Mutuelle Generale de la Police (MGP), a mutual organization which provides extra health and other insurance benefits for police, said the information was uploaded to a password-protected Google Drive on June 2, according to the BBC. The uploaded information includes addresses and other details of the officers, both serving and retired, along with their families, the publication said.

Nicolas Conte, a spokesman for the French police union told the French radio station, RTL, that the Google Drive incident was "extremely worrying," the BBC said.
