Millions of Britons remain vulnerable to identity crime, according to a nationwide survey.
The Information Commissioner's Office found that young people are theleast protective of their personal information. More than six in ten16- to 25-year-olds do not destroy personal documents before throwingthem away and 40 per cent never check their bank statements for unusualtransactions.
More than three quarters (88 per cent) of all respondents continue toclick on a link within an email to get to a website, while one thirdsaid they received over 50 unwanted sales calls, marketing emails andjunk mail each month.
