A self-taught 19-year-old white hat hacker has amassed more than $1 million in bug bounties on the HackerOne platform.

Buenos Aires resident Santiago Lopez, has become the first person to cross that threshold on HackerOne, according to a HackerOne blog post.

“I am incredibly proud to see that my work is recognized and valued. Not just for the money, but because this achievement represents the information of companies and people being more secure than they were before, and that is incredible,” the post cited Lopez, who joined the program in 2015, as saying.

The young white hat has logged more than 1,670 valid unique vulnerabilities to VerizonMedia Company, Twitter, Wordpress, Automattic, HackerOne and the like. “He consistently tops the HackerOne leaderboards, with the 91st percentile for signal, 84th percentile for impact, 2nd overall on the platform, and over 37,000+ reputation,” HackerOne wrote.
