SC Media’s 2019 Innovators and Hall of Fame

It’s that time of year again, not just for holiday shopping and office parties, but as usual each December SC Media indulges our love of new, innovative and cool products and companies. This year we have a great crop of selectees. Some of them are old friends and a few are new. The vendors are selected for their creativity, success in their individual marketspaces and our estimation of how well they will perform over time. The truth is we want every one of the vendors we review to make it into the Hall of Fame, a feat that requires they be selected as innovators for three years running. This tells us that, in addition to being innovators, they have staying power and continue to be innovative.

We have a full cast of innovators in 2019, up 50 percent from the “crowded but strong space” of a year ago. We have grouped 28 of the 33 vendors into nine distinct cybersecurity categories and inducted five new members into our Innovator Hall of Fame. These numbers are encouraging because they represent a wide range of security strategies that often work in concert with other approaches to provide enterprises with the most comprehensive cyber protection possible.
