Typically, our annual Reboot edition marks the major contributions of IT security practitioners and the evolving threats that demanded their efforts during the year.
But in celebration of SC Magazine's 25th anniversary, we've expanded our purview to feature those who've paved the way over the years, presenting the industry with innovative technology, thought-provoking security strategies and exemplary leadership.
Starting Monday, December 8, a special online section puts the spotlight on 25 individuals: pioneers who've helped forge fundamental approaches for securing our data and communications; thought leaders focused on the burgeoning issues and threats of tomorrow; and accomplished CISOs or security management commanding stalwart teams.
Also featured, are practitioners who, through relentless digging, uncovered major vulnerabilities and malware threats, as well as experts who've influenced their peers through their significant security efforts or musings on protecting our digital existence. We believe much of their work will set the tone for the next 25 years in IT security.
Not to be forgotten are our features, which include an overarching piece mapping the evolution of the industry in recent decades, as well as some reoccurring reader favorites like our top threats, breaches, and "weird" news lists. Edna Conway, Cisco's global supply chain CSO, offered her sage advice in our CSO's Desk column, and we turned up the heat in a debate on shaping young hackers into security pros.
Be sure to access the special Reboot 25 section this coming Monday.
