What happened? Liberty Coalition, a privacy preservation nonprofit, discovered 14 files on the website - many of which had been online since 1998.
How many victims? 534, of which, 415 had their Social Security numbers exposed. The victims were former students of Richard Elnicki, a professor of information systems and operations management, having enrolled in his classes between 1998 and 2001.
What was the response? University officials removed the files and worked with major search engines to clear their caches of the information.
