Netgear bug bounty pays up to $15K for finds

Researchers participating in the newly launched Netgear Responsible Disclosure Program can earn points or cash rewards ranging from $150 to $15,000 for finding and reporting security vulnerabilities.

The Kudos program awards allows researchers to accrue points and claim bragging rights for their finds. The biggest ticket cash awards are for vulnerabilities that allow unauthorized access to Netgear cloud storage video files or to live video feeds of all the companies customers or remote unauthorized access to administer another customer's router. The bug bounty program is administered through Bugcrowd

“Being proactive when it comes to security is fundamental to Netgear's approach,” Tejas Shah, vice president of information technology at the company, said in a statement. “By adding a managed bug bounty program through Bugcrowd, we are adding one more layer to our security program.”
