Share

Automotive entertainment technology company Harman International demonstrated how its new cybersecurity software can fight off a hack during a live demonstration at the Consumer Electronics Show now running in Las Vegas.

The demo comes about 18 months after Harman's uConnect entertainment system, used in some Fiat and Chrysler vehicles, was shown to be vulnerable to a hacker by cybersecurity researchers Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek.

According to Autocar, Harman's ‘comprehensive cybersecurity and management solution' will be able to combat cyberattacks and hacks, but Autocar and Harman had no further details on how the security software operated.
