Gogo launches bug bounty

In an effort to “keep on top of all the latest threats,” inflight internet and entertainment provider Gogo is inviting researchers to test the company's website and airborne systems for vulnerabilities as part of a bug bounty program launched with Bugcrowd.

“We appreciate all security concerns brought forth and are constantly striving to keep on top of the latest threats,” the company said in a post, adding that it is committed to being proactive rather than reactive to threats as they emerge. “Every day new security issues and attack vectors are created. Gogo strives to keep abreast on the latest state-of-the-art security developments by working with security researchers and companies.”

The company urged participating researchers “to include all remediation steps to fix any discovered vulnerabilities” with their submissions. “It would be very helpful to provide Gogo's development teams with clear directions on how to fix any discovered vulnerabilities,” the post read.
