A Rio Rancho, N.M., man was arrested for allegedly hacking into his former employer's Roadrunner Wireless‘s servers and posing as a company technician.
Gordon Logan faces charges of computer abuse, embezzlement and burglary in Sandoval County District Court, according to KOAT. The TV station cited court documents stating Logan, who had worked for Roadrunner for 16 years, gained access to the company's servers and made several changes. This was done after he was arrested in early November for impersonating a Roadrunner technician, entering business and adding a scrambler device to a company antenna slowing internet service for its customers.
The Rio Rancho Police Capt. Paul Rogers said Logan had been fired by Roadrunner this summer after he changed pass codes, re-routed email systems, altered support telephone numbers and stole equipment, according to the Rio Rancho Observer.
