March 16 , 2020 (ISC)² has initiated a search to replace the organization’s current CEO David Shearer who will be stepping down from his role at the end of 2020. Shearer led (ISC)² since 2015 and under his leadeship, the association grew to 153,000 certified members and associates in 175 countries. The search for a replacement will be led by its board of directors, who have engaged organizational consulting firm Korn Ferry to assist in the recruitment effort. February 12, 2020 Russell P. Reeder was tapped by the cloud-based data protection firm Infrascale to be the company's new CEO. Infrascale founder and former CEO, Ken Shaw Jr. will remain on as an advisor to the company. The company also announced other executive level changes with Brian Kuhn named COO, Robert Peterson as CFO, Carolyn Kress as Chief People Officer, Lindsay Haun as vice president of Global Customer Success, and Adam Berger as vice president of Global IT and Cloud Operations.February 4, 2020 Yassir Abousselham was named Splunk's new Chief Information Security Office. Previously, Abousselham was CISO at Okta. In his new role he will report to Splunk CTO Tim Tully.December 17, 2019 Marty Edwards was named by Tenable as its vice president of operational technology (OT) security. In this role Edwards will serve as an evangelist for the company’s OT security vision with a particular focus on furthering government and industry initiatives to improve critical infrastructure security.

For the last five years Golden served as the government and public services (GPS) cyber leader, the GPS advisory market offering leader, and the GPS empowered well-being leader .June 6 Dan Hubbard was named CEO of Lacework after previously having been chief product officer, where he was responsible for driving innovation and expanding the company’s security strategy for public and private clouds.
May 30 U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Ross Myers was named U.S. Cyber Command’s deputy commander by U.S. Army General Paul M. Nakasone, who heads both the NSA and Cyber Command. With the new position Myers was promoted to Vice Admiral. Previously, Myers had served as Cyber Command’s chief of staff.
Wells Fargo today named Gary Owen as chief information security officer where he will report directly to Saul Van Beurden, head of Technology. The U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission have selected Peter Guffin, the head of Pierce Atwood's Privacy & Data Security practice, to serve as one of 16 arbitrators in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield arbitration program. As an arbitrator, Guffin, who currently guides clients through compliance with state, federal and international privacy and data protection laws and regulations, is charged with resolving privacy disputes between EU citizens and U.S. organizations and will help shape international privacy law and cross-border data transfer mechanisms. Former FireEye CEO Dave DeWalt (left)and Retired General David Patraeus (right) have been named to Optiv Security board of directors. DeWalt, who also is the former CEO at McAfee, will serve as vice chairman.Petraeus, chairman of the KKR Global Institute, is the former director of the CIA.
Mike Potts will take over as Webroot CEO effective September 25. Potts was also named to the company's board of directors. He will succeed Dick Williams who is retiring as CEO but will remain on the board. Potts previously worked at Cisco where he helped integrate his former company, Lancope after it was purchased by Cisco.
