"[This] has provided us with a managed anti-virus service that's capable of identifying viruses before they are even known to be. Our decision to use this service was validated when MyDoom.A hit - we were protected and have been since."
MessageLabs said that spam accounts for more than 76 per cent of email traffic.
According to the Yankee Group, if the average employee makes $27.50 an hour and spends 10 seconds a day deleting spam, a company with 1,000 employees would lose $27,500 annually to spam-related productivity costs.
