I blogged several days ago about how "Jericho," the post-apocalyptic drama set in a small Kansas town, got unfairly hosed when the network geniuses at CBS - yes, the same ones who thought Katie Couric would save the evening news - decided to cancel the program due to poor ratings.
(Well, of course it got poor ratings. After a successful start, it took an unnecessary hiatus and returned against "American Idol.")
But the true fans wouldn't have it. They formed message boards, sent letters, formed a petition (which, incidentally got tens of thousands of signatures) and most of all, bombarded CBS offices with nuts. "Nuts" was a battle cry used in the season finale.
If this is true, it certainly would be a testament to being persistent and never giving up - characteristics we should all strive for.
