Android mobile root privilege exploit used for malicious purposes

Lacoon Mobile Security recently analyzed a privilege escalation exploit that affects all versions of Android prior to 5.0, or Lollipop. The exploit was developed to “root” Android devices intentionally, but attackers can package the exploit in malware and distribute it to take complete control of an infected user's device.
