2026 SC Award winner CrowdStrike — Best Security Company

CrowdStrike is best known for Falcon, its cloud-native, AI-powered cybersecurity platform. Falcon uses a single, lightweight agent to protect endpoints, workloads, and identities against breaches. It combines next-gen antivirus (NGAV), endpoint detection and response (EDR), and threat intelligence to detect and block, in real-time, threats like malware, ransomware, and "living off the land" attacks.

But CrowdStrike is much more than just Falcon.

The company’s customer base is exceptional in both breadth and quality, said SC Awards judge Salim Aftab.

“More than 74,000 organizations rely on the Falcon platform, including 62% of the Fortune 500 and major public sector entities. Ending ARR of $4.92 billion dollars with strong year-over-year growth and record net new ARR underscores the company’s financial strength and durable expansion. High module adoption and platform consolidation trends show long term customer commitment rather than isolated product use,” Aftab said.

Nominees in this SC Awards category are tried-and-true, long-standing companies which have been offering products and services to customers for at least three years. Nominations can come from all sectors. Judges took into account companies’ product line strength, customer base, customer service/support, research and development, company growth and solvency, innovation and more. CrowdStrike came out on top.

The Falcon platform remains one of the most comprehensive in the market. With 32 modules operating on one agent and one data layer, CrowdStrike continues to execute on a true platform model, said Aftab, who is a cybersecurity and cloud architecture leader with more than 20 years of experience. Expansion into identity and browser security, alongside AI model and agent protection, reflects alignment with modern attack surfaces.

The company’s AI-centric research and development is a clear differentiator, especially its Charlotte AI AgentWorks and agentic automation that operationalize AI across detection, triage, hunting, and response.

Falcon AI Detection and Response extends protection into AI workloads and models, while continuous high performance in independent evaluations, including 100% detection and zero false positives in recent MITRE ATT&CK Enterprise testing, reinforces the company’s technical leadership.

“Customer impact is measurable. Forrester research quantification of avoided breach costs reported 98% triage accuracy, which demonstrates operational value,” Aftab said. “Falcon Flex strengthens the commercial model by aligning licensing with business agility. And support maturity is strong, with 24 by 7 expert access, extensive training programs, and a broad partner ecosystem.”

Given its scale and leadership position, continued transparency around long term AI governance and explainability practices will be increasingly important, Aftab added.

“Overall, CrowdStrike combines market leadership, platform depth, strong financial performance, independent validation, and forward-leaning AI innovation. The company continues to shape the enterprise cybersecurity landscape and sets a high bar for platform consolidation and agentic security,” Aftab said.
