William Hutchison
CEO and co-founder of SimSpace, William “Hutch” Hutchinson, has over 20 years of leadership experience in public and private sectors, spearheading cutting edge tactical and strategic cyber exercises at State, Federal and International level.
Before co-founding SimSpace in 2015, Hutch was a decorated senior Air Force Officer, clocking in over 3,500 hours in F-15 Eagle and T-38 Talon aircraft. Based on his extensive experience conducting Red Flag exercises in the military, Hutch was handpicked to lead US Cyber Command’s first joint force-on-force tactical cyber training exercise, Cyber Flag. Hutch also founded the DoD’s inaugural Cyber Guard exercise, with the aim of coalescing entities from State and Federal level.
Through co-founding SimSpace, Hutch sought to bring his track record of operational excellence to cybersecurity, using technology based on 15 years’ worth of research conducted at MIT’s prestigious Lincoln Laboratory. His vision is to test, train and asses the risk of critical national infrastructure organizations and Global 2000 companies by pushing their systems to failure, ensuring their battle-readiness against the most sophisticated attack methods used by adversaries today.
