Sebastian Lange

Sebastian is SAP’s Chief Security Officer and co-leads the SAP Global Security and Compliance (SGSC) organization together with Marielle Ehrmann, who is the Chief Security Compliance & Risk Officer of SAP.

Sebastian Lange is a globally renowned cybersecurity leader with over two decades of expertise in safeguarding digital ecosystems and driving innovation in cloud security. With a career distinguished by impactful results, Sebastian has consistently delivered strategies that mitigate risks and fortify organizational resilience.

Before joining SAP in June 2023, he has led high-profile security teams at Salesforce, Facebook, and Microsoft. At Salesforce, he spearheaded critical initiatives across Application and Infrastructure Security Assurance, Penetration Testing, Offensive Security, Enterprise Security,
and the Bug Bounty Program, shaping industry best practices. Prior to that, his tenure at Facebook saw him defining the security strategy for groundbreaking Virtual- & Augmented Reality products.

At Microsoft, Sebastian held security leadership roles of flagship products such as Office 365, Windows, Xbox, Visual Studio, and Virtual Reality.
Sebastian holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Macalester College. Sebastian holds over 12 Patents in security and has been a recognized author of security books, articles as well as a dedicated public
speaker on security. A recognized expert and thought leader, Sebastian continues to drive advancements in cybersecurity, earning him a respected reputation at the forefront of the industry.
