Pravallika (Pravi) Devineni

Dr. Pravallika (Pravi) Devineni is a Lead AI Scientist at Duke Energy, where she pioneers advanced AI algorithms to improve the safety and reliability of power grids, ensuring the protection of critical infrastructure. A key focus of her work at Duke Energy involves establishing AI governance processes to uphold compliance, safety, and risk management across AI deployments. Prior to her role at Duke Energy, Dr. Devineni served as a research scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, applying deep learning to tackle challenges in materials science and urban computing. Passionate about solving complex problems that drive societal progress, she is committed to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of scientists, particularly women in tech. Originally from India, Dr. Devineni earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside.
