As President of OISF, she advances global network security through Suricata, a premier open-source technology. A recognized expert in translating complex cybersecurity challenges into actionable solutions, Dr. Misata channels her experience as a cyberstalking survivor into advocacy for security, privacy, and open-source practices. With a Ph.D. in Cyber and Information Security from Purdue University and an MBA from Bentley University, she blends technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive meaningful change in cybersecurity.
