Gary Belvin

Gary is an xNSA, xGoogler, xHigh Frequency Trading CISO where he protected AI algorithms responsible for 10% of the US equities market by volume. His technical innovations feature in the Google Security Blog, and have been incorporated into WhatsApp, Signal, iMessage, Google Messages, and Proton. As a cyber security policy and thought leader, Gary built out a coalition of CISOs that resulted in Executive Order 13800. He’s a trusted regulatory interlocutor with FINRA, the SEC, and international regulators in the UK, Ireland, India, Australia, China, and Russia. He is also on the board of Mercy Ships and a pro-bono security advisor to NGOs. Gary is now consulting with a number of start ups to improve their cybersecurity programs, with clients from unicorn startups to security innovators to next-gen banks.
