Windows Defender purportedly circumvented by novel AI-boosted metamorphic crypter

Newly emergent sophisticated AI-powered metamorphic crypter InternalWhisper x Impact Solutions has been claimed by threat actor ImpactSolutions to be fully undetectable by Windows Defender and other leading endpoint security tools, according to Cyber Security News.

In a dark web forum ad, InternalWhisper x Impact Solutions has been touted to feature an automated web-based panel that accelerates protected binary creation without much challenge to threat actors, ThreatMon researchers noted in a post on X, formerly Twitter. Numerous loader options that focus on clandestine compromise and use signed binary sideloading, which exploits Microsoft-signed executables, could be used by the crypter to facilitate the deployment of multiple payloads, including .NET applications and C and C++ binaries.

Malicious activity has also been concealed by the crypter through AES-256 payload and runtime string encryption. Additional details from the forum post touted the malicious payloads to live beyond reboots while impersonating legitimate software.
